First Transnational Meeting (Nyíregyháza/HUNGARY)

The first transnational meeting of the project entitled "Utilization of Glottic and Extra-glottic  Airway Methods for Airway Management" developed by lecturer Aslı AYDOĞAN and lecturer Arslan Say, academics from Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Healthcare Services Junior College, and coordinated by Prof. Metin ORBAY, Ph.D., President of the University of Amasya, as part of "Ministry of European Union Affairs Erasmus+ KA202 Strategic Partnership for Vocational Training and Education Projects was held on June 26-30, 2018 in Nyíregyháza / Hungary. The meeting was hosted by the University of Debrecen.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Dean Prof. Telhat ÖZDOĞAN, Ph.D., Ass. Prof. Arif AYAR, Ph.D., lecturer Aslı AYDOĞAN, and lecturer Arslan SAY from the University of Amasya; Dr. Özgür DALKIRAN, Head of Public Hospitals Services Department from Provincial Healthcare Office in Amasya; Ass. Prof. Murat ŞAHİN, Ph.D., Head Physician of Education and Research Hospital of the University of Amasya; Neslihan DALKIRAN, Legal Adviser to Provincial Healthcare Office; and academics from the University of Craiova, Romania and University of Debrecen, Hungary, who took part in the project working group. Works related to the project were undertaken as part of the first transnational meeting of the project aimed at carrying out works for the discovery of most current, innovative, and convenient for alternative methods in collaboration with our partners at home and abroad and plans were devised for steps to be taken until another transnational meeting.

Prof. Imre Semsei, Ph.D., Dean of Medical Sciences Faculty of the University of Debrecen, and Deputy Dean Attila Sarvary made a presentation on the university and the faculty, paramedic education, and paramedic curriculum. They provided information about the state of healthcare systems in Hungary and how emergency medical services are provided and a visit was paid to the hospital's emergency ward and ambulance units. Methods and equipment used for airway management were observed during the presentation on hospital emergency wards and ambulance services in Hungary.
